Ben Weiner “Glamtrance,” Los Angeles, CA, 2006.

Ben Weiner takes inspiration from Jeff Koons’ Pink Diamond and Merrit Oppenheim’s Object (Le Dejeuner en Fourrure), combining a large pink crystal with a fur boa and evoking the womb through a depiction of feminine luxury wares. Weiner connects the concept of fashion as the birth of new styles with feminine sexuality, biological creation and mystical visions of the future.
